AIIMS Mangalagiri MBBS Students Win IAP UG Pediatrics Quiz

Report On College Round Of 36th Indian Academy Of Pediatrics (IAP) UG PediatricQuiz Conducted On 15/07/2023 by Dept of Pediatrics.

The college round of the 36th IAP UG Pediatric Quiz Finals was held on July 15, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm in the 1st Floor lecture hall of the Medical Lab block. Five teams were selected out of 40 participating teams based on a screening test conducted on April 15, 2023.

Dr.DiptirekhaSatapathy, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, led the team that organized the quiz. Dr. Mahesh V, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, served as the quizmaster. The quiz was conducted under the guidance of Dr.ArunBabu T, Addl Prof and Head of the Department of Pediatrics.

The quiz consisted of 6 rounds. All teams participated enthusiastically and performed very well well. Around 60 MBBS students from all batches were present as audience.

The team comprising of ninth semester MBBS students, Ms. PKSSS Lakshmi and Ms. B Priyanka, won the quiz by a margin of 5 points over their runners-up team. The winning team will officially represent AIIMS Mangalagiri in the next divisional round of the IAP quiz, which will be held at Guntur Medical College in August 2023. Certificates of runner-up and participation were given to the respective teams.

The winning team of students and the organizing team were felicitated by the Hon’ble Director & CEO,Dr.MukeshTripathi and Dean Academics,Dr.Shreemanta Kumar Dash.
